BAQ Awards

Wanted: Air Quality Heroes and Champions!
Who are the air quality management heroes in Asia? Nominations are sought for the following awards to be handed out at BAQ 2008:
- Kong Ha Award for Excellence in Air Quality Management, to honor persons who have made special contributions to the cause of AQM in Asia. The CAI-Asia Partnership established this award in memory of the late Kong Ha, the third chairperson of CAI-Asia.
- Young Voices Award on Urban Air Pollution and Climate Change, to be awarded to four university students, who have creative and new solutions for Asian cities to address air pollution and climate change problems in Asia. The four awarded students will jointly lead a workshop session in BAQ 2008 to present their ideas for new policies and approaches to address air pollution and climate change in Asia. The age limit has been adjusted to 29 years.
- Best News Story on Air Quality Management in Asia, to be awarded to a journalist from Asia and a journalist from an international news organization headquartered outside Asia, for a news story on air quality published in the period December 2006 – August 2008
