- Do I need to use the online registration form to participate in BAQ 2008?
Yes. All participants need to register. This includes both self-funded and sponsored participants.
- What is a self-funded participant?
A self-funded participant is someone who will shoulder the cost of his/her airfare, hotel accommodations, and registration fee. Self-funded participants typically come from the private sector and the international development community.
- I am a self-funded participant. How do I pay my registration fee?
If you are a self-funded participant, you will receive an email invoice from the BAQ 2008 Secretariat. Payments will be processed using PayPal. Further instructions will be included in the invoice.
- What is a sponsored participant?
A sponsored participant is someone who qualifies for either full or partial funding to cover his/her airfare and hotel costs. Sponsored participants typically include government officials and representatives, NGO workers, academics, and students from developing countries.
- How can I apply for sponsorship?
You can apply for sponsorship when you register for BAQ 2008. First, read the Terms of Sponsorship. Then when you register online, select your "Participant Type" before submitting the form.
- I tried to register online, but I encountered an error. What should I do?
Copy-paste the ASCII text version of the registration form and email your details to baq2008@cai-asia.org
- I am a sponsored participant. Will the BAQ Secretariat book my hotel?
No. You are responsible for booking your hotel in Bangkok. However, BAQ participants qualify for discounted rates at selected hotels.
- Will the BAQ Secretariat book my flight?
No. You are expected to make your own flight reservations to Bangkok. This applies for self-funded and sponsored participants.
