Training on Air Pollution Health Effects Benefit Analysis (APHEBA) model
Organized by CAI-Asia Center with support from US EPA Integrated Environmental Strategies (IES) program
Schedule and Venue:
11 November 2008 (2 pm – 4 pm), Imperial Queen's Park (IQP) - Meeting Room 702
APHEBA is an object-oriented model that quantifies the change in health effects and social benefits associated to a change in ambient
pollutant concentrations. It can perform the analysis with minimal data requirements, which can be supplemented with specific data provided by the user. The user can modify parts of the model, to obtain specific results, with very little additional work. APHEBA has been used to perform the health benefit analysis of Santiago, Chile, Shanghai, China and Hyderabad, India.
