Climate and Transport
Organizer/s:
Co-organized by the GTZ-Sustainable Urban Transport Project (SUTP), the Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities (CAI-Asia) Center, UITP (the International Association of Public Transport) and the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL).
Objectives:
• Create greater awareness of climate-related phenomenon and their linkages with urban transport policies and projects.
• Develop comprehension of characteristics, impacts and possible solutions to current transport and climate problems.
• Increase awareness among key stakeholders on how issues of urban transport policy and projects can improve climate impacts in the developing world.
• Present Funding Mechanism for Carbon reduction within the context of sustainable urban transport
