Transport Demand Management
Organizers:
Co-organized by the GTZ-Sustainable Urban Transport Project (SUTP) and the Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities (CAI-Asia) Center with funding from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB)
The SUMA Project is supported by ADB through a grant from Sida.
Objectives:
- Create greater knowledge on the need for demand-driven initiatives and projects in urban transport rather than supply-respondent ones.
- Develop comprehension of alternatives to develop TDM strategies (congestion charging, parking policies, fuel policies, pricing, and others)
- Enhance the experience of SUMA future trainers
- Increase awareness among key stakeholders on issues of urban transport policy improvement through cost-efficient strategies such as TDM.
